Sansovino 6
Pitti Italics

ex Scuola Marescialli e Carabinieri

Following the Pitti Italics performance-event at the last edition of Pitti Filati, Sansovino 6 – the brand, founded by the American designer Edward Buchanan, who is considered to be one of the leading talents in international knitwear – comes to Pitti Uomo to showcase its menswear line, which has always been a part of the brand’s DNA. Shuttling between Milan and New York, during his long creative career, Buchanan has explored the infinite possibilities offered by knitwear and ended up creating full looks entirely focused on sewn yarns and fabrics that have become his key distinctive signature.

I am very enthusiastic about taking part in the 91st edition of Pitti Uomo”, says Edward Buchanan. “I like the harmony that has been established between Pitti Immagine and Sansovino 6.  I think that Pitti Uomo is the perfect situation for presenting my new collection: a fashion event where creativity and freedom of expression spontaneously merge”.

PITTI ITALICS is promoted by the Centro di Firenze per la Moda Italiana with a grant from the Ministero dello Sviluppo Economico – Ministry for Economic Development and Agenzia ICE – in support of Italian trade fairs and Made in Italy and realized by Fondazione Pitti Immagine Discovery on the occasion of Pitti Immagine Uomo 91.
