After earning his diploma in fashion design at Milan’s Istituto Marangoni, Andrea Pompilio spent 13 years working with international brands such as Alessandro Dell’Acqua, Prada, Calvin Klein, Yves Saint Laurent and Bally. He divides his time between Milan, Paris and New York. The designer starts from the basics – the two-button or double-breasted jacket and reinterprets their structures in a contemporary key. He develops his concept of classicism and tradition by playing around with proportions, unusual details and delicate color and reediting materials and shapes. He presents a sophisticated yet nonchalant look that puts great weight on quality. His items – basics with simple lines – combine sartorial quality, practicality and attention to fabrics and details in what can be called wearable, relaxed sophistication: daily wear for a contemporary globetrotter. “A” is a no-compromise clean approach. “A” is contemporary sartorial style. “A” is Andrea Pompilio today.
