Comeforbreakfast, an independent brand established in 2009 combines the designing talents of two people with different talents and backgrounds. Designer Antonio Romano, a graduate of Polimoda, Florence, imbues the line with his artistic spirit, creating prints, the key element of the brand, for each season. Francesco Alagna, who earned a degree in industrial design after a master’s program in fashion buying at the Marangoni in Milan, has worked with important Italian and international brands. In their work they combine Italian craftsmanship with research aiming at a sophisticated, metropolitan casual look characterized by asymmetrical lines and deconstructed shapes. The graphics, designed by Antonio Romano give the collections a highly expressive – and often ironic – flair. From the debut collection to the present, they have gradually developed a total look complete with knitwear, jackets and accessories. Comeforbreakfast is a research project that strives for a modern fashion fit and achieves it through a balance of carefully studied material, shape and detail for a new concept of Made in Italy.
