This coming June, Pitti Immagine will be presenting the fifth edition of WHO IS ON NEXT? UOMO, the competition dedicated to seeking our new Italian or Italy-based talents in men’s fashions. The competition is staged by Pitti Immagine Uomo, Altaroma and L’Uomo Vogue.
During the Pitti Immagine Uomo fair, an international judging panel of top buyers, fashion journalists and opinion makers will evaluate the 7 finalists’ collections and announce the winners. This edition’s finalists are: L. Chiussi & F., Matteo Molinari, Puro, and Christian Pellizzari for prêt-à-porter; and Casamadre, Super Duper Hats, and Giacomorelli for the accessories category.
Their collections will be presented to the Pitti Uomo audience in a high-tech display created by architect Alessandro Moradei, and situated in the heart of the fair, on the Lower Level of the Main Pavilion.
“WHO IS ON NEXT? UOMO is the lead project for promoting new talents in men’s fashions”, says Raffaello Napoleone, CEO of Pitti Immagine. “It is the platform that launches them onto the international scene and acquaints the press and buyers with their distinctive styles and creativity. And, as we have seen with the winners of the first four editions, it opens the way to successful careers in fashion design”.

The winner will have the opportunity of showing a preview of his or her 2014 Spring/Summer collection – that will be available as of September - throughout the world on line at yoox.com.
Last but not least, for the winner of WHO IS ON NEXT? UOMO, there will be a special award from Tomorrow: the international distribution platform for new talents will offer the opportunity to present the winner’s collection in their showroom in Paris, for the whole period of the sales campaign.
