Following the success of the first edition (January 2014), L’Uomo Vogue and GQ Italia in cooperation with Fondazione Pitti Discovery will present The Latest Fashion Buzz, the new project featuring some of the most talented and promising international designers of men’s fashions.
Among the brands that have already signed up for this second edition: Kristian Guerra, Mr Start, Orange Culture, Period Features, Samuji, Troubadour Goods and WeberHodelFeder.
The collections, based on a based careful selection of key items – will be presented in the Sala Ottagonale, a strategic location at the Fortezza da Basso, against an innovative and striking setting that will reflect the project’s dual spirit: new formal and edgy informal.
“THE LATEST FASHION BUZZ”, says Agostino Poletto, deputy general manager of Pitti Immagine, aims at offering visibility and support to prêt-à-porter and accessory designers who work on a new concept of modern in both the formal and sophisticated informal keys. For this edition, too, together with L’Uomo Vogue and GQ Italia, we have again done intensive scouting and made very careful selections. The designers invited to accept this challenge are not just new names, but also already established designers all of whom have a very personal approach to experimentation. It is to them that we offer the ideal platform for presenting their unique looks to the top buyers, to the press, and to the international fashion system which, season after season, gathers in Florence for Pitti Uomo. One of our missions has long been that of promoting young talents on the international stage through special projects and events. And this initiative fits perfectly into that context, flanking projects such the Who is On Next? Uomo competition that we produce with AltaRoma and L’Uomo Vogue, or the special Super Talents area in Milan, curated by Vogue Talents during our Super fair”.
