What do you expect from this experience at Pitti Uomo and The Latest Fashion Buzz?

We look very much forward not only to seeing Pitti Uomo for the very first time, but also being selected to be part of it ourselves. WHF is very strongly connected to Italy and we are therefore excited to connect with the public and the industry, as well as showcase our handcrafted shoes in Florence.

Which are your professional projects for the future?
Besides the four collections every year, we are rather spontaneous and open for collaborations in and outside the fashion industry. Exciting things are in the making and will be announced when time is right. However, the main focus will always lay on our shoes.

From what a Designer must begin to give style to women/men, without giving their identity up?
Isn’t style a form of identity? What is very important for us during the design process is to keep a realistic client in mind without letting him or her dictate our intuitions. What we do is an honest suggestion of footwear for the men and women who appreciate craftsmanship as much as modern design.

When did your passion for fashion and design begin?
It was the sleeping beauty in all three of us which got wide-awake with a loud buzz when we moved to Antwerp.

What are the key pieces - the real must-haves - of your collection?
Our Velcroshoes were not only the shoes that started our brand but remain our most iconic shoes. The transition between a pair of sneakers as well as a classic richelieu brogue belongs in every modern man's wardrobe for a cashual chic look.

Who is the designer who inspires you? Who is your fashion icon?
That changed over time and with every season, so that it is impossible to pin-point one designer whose work inspires us most. We love Nike for the innovations in technical footwear as much as we like a good Brussels flea market Loafer.
