On the occasion of Pitti Immagine Uomo 90, the exhibition KARL LAGERFELD-Visions of Fashion will open on 14 June (*) at the Palazzo Pitti, Florence. This photography exhibition, curated by Eric Pfrunder and Gerhard Steidl, will cover Lagerfeld’s photographic career and will also present some never before shown images.
This event is being made possible thanks to the three-year cooperation agreement signed between the Fondazione Pitti Immagine Discovery and the Gallerie degli Uffizi, with the support of the Centro di Firenze per la Moda Italiana and Pitti Immagine.
KARL LAGERFELD-Visions of Fashion is an anthological show celebrating the Master and his elegant photographic oeuvre, from snapshots and fashion shoots published in the world’s most important fashion magazines to others inspired by classical mythology, created using a variety of techniques.
The exhibition itinerary will start from the grand staircase, Scalone del Moro, and wind its way through the rooms of the Galleria Palatina, the Sala Bianca and the two rooms of the Appartamenti degli Arazzi in a continuous dialogue between the sizes of the pictures and the exhibition areas.
KARL LAGERFELD - Visions of Fashion will be opened to the public on 15 June 2016. The official closing date of the exhibition will be announced during the Pitti Immagine press conference to be held in Milan on 11 May.
KARL LAGERFELD-Visions of Fashion is part of the Special Program of Pitti Immagine Uomo 90, produced thanks to the 2015-2017 Three-Year Plan sponsored by the Ministero dello Sviluppo Economico (Ministry for Economic Development) and Agenzia ICE, in support of Italian trade fairs and Made in Italy. The Special Program is promoted by Centro di Firenze per la Moda Italiana and Pitti Immagine.
