It’s one more round of success for the E-Shoe, the first, truly wearable high-heeled shoe guitar created by Chicks on Speed and Max Kibardin that is now on display at London’s Victoria & Albert Museum in the “Power of Making” exhibition.
It was just a short step from the picture to the museum. On 6 September, the V&A opened the big exhibition, “Power of Making”, that is a tribute to the role of “making”, with an eclectic array of over 100 crafted objects, created with a diverse range of skills and materials. The E-shoe, designed by Max Kibardin and the electro-pop band, Chicks on Speed, is one of the items the curators selected for the event. The E-shoe is a perfect example of how innovative materials and technologies can be applied to the creation of day-in-day-out accessories.
