Done in collaboration with Who is On Next, Talents Shooting N. 48 mirrors the stylistic vision of the 6 finalists of the current edition of the contest organized by AltaRoma, L'Uomo Vogue and Pitti Immagine. Shot by Matteo Zini with Giacomo Simoni in charge of the styling, the shooting concocts scenarios, mixes objects up with original pieces characterized by illogical thinking. Eclectic fashion that is, at times, daring, and channels, at some other times, a contemporary or a retro mood like tailored blazers and hats. The shooting seeks to convey the relationship between body and clothes; outfits chosen not to hide but to make a statement. A challenge on an intellectual level that offers alternatives to traditional menswear and rethinks staple pieces. All portrayed by means of a deep and decidedly representative type of photography.
I'd like to be called Mister, too.

Matteo Zini, photographer
He was born in Sassari but lives in Milan where he graduated in Industrial Design with a specialization in Fashion at Milan’s Politecnico. After numerous projects and contests related to design he decided to go back to his intuitive passion, photography, that he has been cultivating since a teenager when he discovered the creativity of the darkroom and of fine arts, putting into practice the teachings of the great Ansel Adams and getting his inspiration from the image of visionnaire Man Ray. Forever passionate about creative research, art and cinema, he has travelled around the world looking for experimentation and interaction. He also lived in New York where he further developed his passion for art meeting numerous NY artists. He loves research in photography, he depicts a sophisticated and visionary woman, inspired by the creative images by Vanessa Beecroft and great photographers such as Herb Ritts, Newton and Avedon. He has collaborated as a freelance with numerous international magazines and his shots have appeared in L'Uomo Vogue, Metal, Dossier, Max, 7th man magazine. He has many projects on London and Paris under his belt and he is carrying on with his artistic research alongside with his professional one.
